18 BSc Tourism students visited Labuan Bajo to work together with students from SMKN1 Labuan Bajo on an international research project.
NHTV alumna Michèle Oudenaarden started her own initiative called The TRAVELBAR, a travelling meetup place for travel addicts in 2015. Her first TRAVELBAR Pop-Up event will take place on Saturday 20 June at Beach club Safari in Zandvoort aan Zee. Since this is the longest day of the year, it will be a Midsummer Mini Festival! And…. it’s free!
At the annual Groeneveld Conferentie, the ‘Carmatop Calculator’ was launched, a web-based tool which tour operators can use to calculate CO2 footprints. Unique in the world, the Carmatop Calculator is the result of the two-year CARMATOP project which was led by professor Paul Peeters of the NHTV Centre for Sustainable Tourism and Transport.

With the project entitled “Bewoners maken hun wijk gewoon leefbaar” (Local residents make their community a better place to live), NHTV conducts research in ‘three ordinary’ districts in cities located in Brabant. The research will be completed this autumn.
