From 15 till 18 May the Academy for Digital Entertainment was present at the Media Future Week 2017. A great learning experience for our students.

It was four days in a roller coaster. Working on different projects with Ziggo/Vodafone, Zoom Media, KRO NCRV, VPRO and STER. Listening to international keynote speakers such as Evgeny Morozov, Joris Luyendijk and Amber Caselearning. And learning new brainstorm techniques. All in relation with this year’s theme: how to design media interactions in a post-truth media world?

Around 100 students from different higher education institutes (Bachelor and Master level) joined this event. The International Media and Entertainment Management programme was present with 15 participants. It was great to see the different skills such as concept developers, tech-savvy enthusiasts, logistical thinkers, smart communicators and open presentors amongst the students. All groups had a personal motivator who guide the group through the creative processes and helped them to stay motivated.

Arnoud Versluis: ”the IMEM students performed to the max and were really enthusiastic about the event. During the final pitches, it was great to see them! No more words to say. Only proudness.” Watch the video impression of these four days below.

To share in words what some students expressed: “It opened up our eyes and gave us a much greater understanding of the role of media in our society, from many different angles. All the necessary values for working in a group such as communicating, open-mindness, reflecting, caring, being attentive and many others were touched throughout the Media Future Week.”
