At the opening of the Education Day, Hein van Oorschot presented the NHTV Free Publicity Award for the first time. The Award is meant for the employee who has contributed the most to raising NHTV’s public profile through his or her performance in the Dutch media. The first winner of this award is Ruud Hornman, followed by Goof Lukken and Jeroen Nawijn.
On 28 January the open evening took place. NHTV welcomed a lot of new potential students.

The Academy of Tourism received two certificates by Thuiswinkel.org e-Academy for their minor in e-Travel. As a result, the academy is now the first programme in applied sciences in tourism and recreation to have been awarded both certificates.
Since November 2015 Diana van Dijk is a member of the Participation Council. As a member she also participates in the SOO committee (Strategy, Education and Research). Additionally, she represents the Participation Council in the Campus steering committee.
Unique knowledge of NHTV on hospitality, sustainability and gaming simulations has been combined in an EU project proposal. The proposal has been approved and awarded 1 million euro subsidy.
